New year resolution : to be HAPPY!

I've heard it said that there are three things a person needs to be happy:

1. Something to do
2. Someone to love
3. Something to look forward to

So well, my new year resolution is to be just Happy. Sounds simple yet, not that simple.

Here goes..

1. Something to do
- Will resume my serving to God in Church. like leading the youth group or help out at the children ministry.
- Will also take part to help out for Cat Welfare Society.
- Actively dive into yoga again
- work real hard and establish myself
- Try to blade every saturday morning!
- Pick up golf and get a handicap!
- More travelling.. I definetely need to visit Australia and Vietnam this year!

2. Someone to love
- Will Love God with whole my heart more than this year
- Will pray for everyone esp for my enemies (tho I dont really have one)
- Will look for my true love this year :) will start praying for my life partner that I can share rest of my happi life with :P
- Shower my love to all my friends

3. Something to look forward to
- look forward to more trips so that now i will qualify for kris flyer elite gold for that excess 40kg baggage allowance:P
- new look of my house
- invite more friends over to show off my culinery skills
- Catching up with long lost buddies

I foresee alot of things will happen this coming new year.
And i bet it will be another great year.. Since my resolution is simply to be just happy :)

Wishing everyone a happy blessed new year and may your new year be filled with joy and love!

Looking back Year 2005

Seriously when i was a kid, i thought by year 2005, cars will be able to fly and will have transporters so can transport myself around within seconds..

Oh well, nothing of those really came true, but however alot of things happened to me in yr2005.

It was dark and gloomy year, which towards the end, dark clouds were removed and became a happy person. :)

here are few things I have done:

- Travelled alot, went places where now i am paying back all the credit card bills which is kinda aftermath of all the trevelling plus the shopping i did around the world. which is totally worth it xtually :P

- Moved to bayshore which i am totally in love with..

- became a PR which currently e government is stealing my $ for CPF contribution excuse.. well for the sake of paying less taxes...

- Got my driving license. But now, i could have forgotten how to drive already!

- Took one full month paid-break from work and went home to my family early this year..

- Finally left prev co, and got a new job with huge increment.

- Completed my part time course tho i am not sure if i hav passed or not! :P waiting for results lah..

- Got into yoga, which i kinda bit slacking on but will go back soon.

- Got myself a cutie God-niece..

- Earned alot of good friends and da-gors :)

- and was able to keep my current cell phone for almost a year which is amazing!

- And the best of all.. met someone. Tho am not sure if it is going to work out well, it has been wonderful dreamy couple of weeks..taking one step at a time..

Witnessed and experienced so many ways how God has blessed me all these years but this year in particular.

Looking forward to another great year ahead.

And....... Korea will again rule the worldcup 2006! cheers!!

My Christmas Party!

It was pure fun.
Tho the rain poured, we enjoyed it. The food was just enuf, drinks were plenty (i am staring at the leftover drinks now!) with free flow of vodka and the most importantly - company was great.

Great friends great party.. What more can I ask for?

and what's new.. i got drunk.. again.. luckily it was my own place so no need to call my da-gor to pick me up :)
And i was very high rather than drunk lah! cos i still remember everything except the deep cut i hf on my right palm..

Cool christmas this year.. Never had so much fun christmas in years!

till next year :)

How do you know...

....if you are falling for someone?
or if you are in love?

How can you tell?

PC joke

When i was back home in Seoul this weekend, my mom and dad was complaining that the internet doesn't work. Apparantly they have disconnected the internet services when my bro left to states this January.

My dad who is now considered as internet savvy, found inconvenient without internet at home. so they have resumed the services. Since we already have the cable modem all that was needed, was to call the telecom and they will just turn it on their side. No action is required on our end..

But it didnt work. So they called the telecom and asked them to come and take a look this week. But i was there this weekend, so they asked me to take a look.

So I turned on the PC and start the explorer and page is not displayed. I checked the internet connection and seemed like there were no connection. So first thing what do you do?

You check your modem.

I checked. hmmmmm... no blinking light...

Then you check the plug.

i checked. hmmmm.... it's not plugged..... -..^

I heard this story where when people call up to complain their computer isn't working, the first question tech support will ask if they have turned on their PC....
I tot it was a joke. Seriously, a joke... never ever tot their would be someone so blur in real life.

And it happened to me.. and apparantly the blur people... is my parents...

Snowing Korea!

Arrived Seoul last nite and it was aboslutly fabulous..
It snowed whole morning, so when i stepped out from airport, it was white everywhere! Absolutely lovely..
Heard it was going to snow alot this winter.. Will try to be back for CNY.

The flight was good, and didnt sleep most of the 12 hours flight.watched movies, shows, read books. That is why i always insist taking SQ for long distance flights.

It is good to be back home (Seoul) again.. Love my mom's cooking and the warmth and love that is in the house :)

Don't have jet lag and slept reaaaaal well. Which I wasn't able to for past few days. Was awake till about 2am gossiping with mom, and not sleeping in the plane helped me to adjust the time better.

Well, I gotta head airport in 3 hours time now. Then I will be at Sunny Singapore which now i kind of miss the hot stuffy weather in a way but which i will despise soon after :) haha

12.17.2005

Leaving San Mateo..

After long 10 days of training, i think i am well groomed to work remotely in SG.. (hopefully!)

Enjoyed alot here met great people esp towards last few days. Lot to learn and lot to share :)

I was so sad when i left the previous company cos i was leaving great x-colleagues behind, but when a door closes, another door opens. So again, i met fantastic people :) Maybe I am a nice person, so wherever I go, there are always nice people around! hahaha (who dares to comment on this!)

Hope I will get to come here often.. Next time, hopefully I will hf time to go LA, Cicago..

Those in Spore, if you think I am bringing back Krispy Kreme, dream on.... Reese's? Have a few.. Whoever gets the most expensive xmas gift for me, I shall spare you one piece.. (gosh i am so nice, an angel sent from heaven!)

I will stop by in Korea and go home for a night then will head down to sunny singapore and unite with my cats :)

And then, officially, my new job begins... till then, I shall enjoy the hours I hf left.. n hopefully I wont forget what I learnt here.. If I do, blame the jet-lag.

cheers.

Diet Coke with Lime

Have you guys tried it?
You know how much i love diet coke. (at least a can a day)

but with lime? Is even better!
It is soooooo good! Refreshing and funky!

My beautiful God-niece!

hehe.....
I am proud to announce I have a God-niece.
I have full approval of her mother to be anointed as a "God-Aunt" :) (haha I must have done something good!)(Cant be God-mom cos i am not yet qualified! Got no kids myself yet lah :P)

She is so cute and pretty and beautiful (juz like her mom and me of cos! :P)

I always grew up with guys. My cousins are guys.. have girl cousins but they are like much older. So i was always pampered by my older sis and bros. So I always wanted a niece so I could spoil them too. However, I only end up having tons of nephews.. (it's our family genes! girls are so rare!) but never had a niece which I so much wanted.

Finally had one, but she is so far away in Korea!

So i waited until i find a perfect - ' the one' (must be from a Christian family, good parents and are close to me as a friend), and I finally found one! "Elyssa Shayna Lee"

And I am so so so proud.
I am going to spoil her, pamper her, be there for her :) (I am a God-Aunt so I don't have to lecture and scold her right? :P)

She is sooooo cute! So I am sharing with you one pix. (btw, never got her parents consent :P So only a small pix, but will wait for them to send me a larger pix :P)

Isn't she lovely??

phobia

[Phobia] - A persistent, abnormal, and irrational fear of a specific thing or situation that compels one to avoid it, despite the awareness and reassurance that it is not dangerous.

For me, phobia is more like dislike.. I don't fear.. itz more to sumtin I really hate and try to avoid as much as I can.. I can still do it, but I will avoid if I could cos I juz don't like it..

These are the few phobia I have:

  • Claustrophobia - Fear of confined spaces

  • I don't like confined spaces..
I cant breathe and need to get out asap. imagine.. 12 hours flight to states, I didn't go to the labratory even once.
I don't like lifts either. Always have phobia of being stuck in the lift in that confined space. That is why i stay on the 2nd flr.. get it?

  • Coulrophobia - Fear of clowns.

  • I don't like clowns.. it is creepy and disguised. Making people laugh by doing stupid thing is NOT funny.

  • Entomophobia - Fear of insects.

  • I am ok with most of the bugs but no cockroaches...no no no... NOOOO....they r gross, disgusting the more u try to get away from them the more they come towards you.. and they FLY!

  • Ornithophobia - Fear of birds.

  • i don't like 'em. Period. Especially fat big birds!

  • Phengophobia- Fear of daylight or sunshine.

  • hee... cos i not a morning person... so i dont like the sun in the weekday mornings.. :P But strangely, I wake up so early in the weekends!

  • Trypanophobia- Fear of injections.

  • I hate injection so much.. I love seafood, esp half cooked cockles but I refuse to take the hepatitis shots... :P I took till the 2nd stage shots but it was so painful i never went for the last shot.. damn.. So now i need to retake 'em... All over again!

Anyway there is this whole list of phobia... click!
I wonder who is so free to come up with such thing? And do they xtually get paid for this?

Oh well, there r people out there, like me, who reads through the whole list :P

    ..in San Francisco

After intensive training, meetings and knowledge transfers for past 5 days, it was great to be out from San Mateo..

San Francisco is about 20 minutes away from San Mateo, where my office is located..

My colleague offered me to be my tour guide and he drove me around whole day. Which was great, bcos San Fran is so diff from London or Paris. Or even NYC. It is so difficult to get around if you dont have a car, because everythin u wan to see is all far away from eachother and they dont have a tube.

Weather was fantastic today and unexpectedely warm. But it got colder after sunset :P

Went to Fisherman's Warf for fantastic fresh Clam Chowder served in sourdough bread, was freaked by the size of sea-gulls and pigeons (if u hv seen my prev posts, u will know how much i hate big fat birds..)

Had my own stuffed teddy bear made.. (i just love pink!!)

Was disappointed by the size of Alcatraz (a.k.a "the Rock" movie prison)

The Golden Gate Bridge is beautiful!

Was even amazed by the beauty of Palace of Fine Arts..

Almost puked cos of car sick when driven to Lombard St, the world's crookedest street!

Had great shopping spree at Union SQ.. Coach is so much cheaper, end up buying 2 bags and 2 pouches.. Went crazy at Abercrombie&Fitch. Just love their tshirts!

Then fantastic Fajita dinner at Chillis (SG closed down few years ago) with my colleague's friends..

    It was a "great+fun+exciting=tiring" day..!

And I ended this fabulous day by indulging the world best doughnut... Krispy Kreme :)
How could i miss Krispy Kreme in States?
If u havent tried b4, i pity you.. I dont like doughnuts, but Krispy Kreme... It is heavenly.. You bite, it melts in your mouth.... Love 'em..

More pictures will b updated on my online photo album.. coming soon

It was a long stupid wait drama... :P

After 8 months, 28D advised me to borrow card reader from my ex-colleague which i downloaded my pix.. then i resigned, so didnt have com to upload all the pix i had..
And then I went to buy the card reader with 28D, which that night i found out my camera is spoilt... Sigh..
finally today is the day i got a new laptop and downloaded the bali pix!! Yey!!

Link is at the side --> can be found at "My Useful Link" section

Once I am back in SG, I will upload my other pix :P I know you all dont belive me anymore, but come on! I finally created the album didnt i?? :P

Will be heading to city this coming weekend to do some shopping and sight-seeing. hopefully I would have recovered by then..

I realise as i get older, is harder to adapt to jet-lags.. Which i didnt have any problems years before... Definetely a sign of me age-ing.. towards 30. aaaarrrggghh :P

Met lot of people but i fail to remember their names and faces! must be the jet-lag... Too tired to think..

    12.02.2005

    Very upset

My Ixus 400 have E18 error. According to the website, it's the worst error message a digital camera owner could get..

Called up the service centre, and it costs 240 bucks to fix this! Is this worth it? Should i just dump this and get a newer sleeker smaller camera?

It is my fault i dump the cam in my bag where it gets knocked here and there.. I place it anywhere at home.. Dont really clean the cam.. So i guess it was expected.. But I am still so upset!

    I like this camera!

    Dammit.. dammit dammit!!!!!!!

Thanks to my dear friend, who lent me his camera so i can use it while in San Fran..
LCD can rotate so can take my self better. :) haha I love "sel-ca" (Korean way of saying "Self-camera" meaning taking pix of yourself.. for vain people like me :P)

Thank God, i checked the camera last night before departing tomorrow...

    Bali Trip [24.11.05 - 27.11.05]

This was my 2nd trip to Bali, and was a totally different experience from my 1st trip.

And I will definetely go back again next year.. Planning to go there once a year.. I love the sea, the sun, the shopping, the food, the people..

Company was great, and we had lots of fun with wine and cheese by the poolside :)
The villa was beautiful especially the outdoor bath in the master bedroom :) When we arrived, Karlos arranged in a way that the path that led to the villa was all candle lit.. Gosh it was beautiful! And we were welcomed by the friendly staff with a cool watermelon juice.

Massage was so cheap and i loved the hair spa. Done my nails beautifully as well..

It is quite sad though that when i was there last year, it was so crowded.. Kuta was packed with aussies and jap surfers.. Maybe now is not yet a peak season, but it was just empty. So no need for reservation for fancy restaurants where it was impossible to get seats otherwise..

I will download the pix ASAP to share.. It was just fabulous!!

My last day at BLUE - 22nd Nov 05

    I joined BLUE in 2003 March 19th..
For past 2 years and 8 months, I have learnt so much and have growm tremendously..

From a design background to become campaign manager of a team, there were lots of ups and downs.. But I leave with no regrets.

I believe i did a fantastic job at what I do (tho i left quite a shit to my replacement.. sorri!)
Had a great boss, great clients, great colleagues who I call them friends more than just an ex-colleague. :)

Gave me a such a nice farewell party which about 30 people came and burnt a hole in my boss's card :p (means no more drinks on my boss till end of the month!)

I received a wonderful farewell booklet with so much kind and nice words with photos of themselves which made me cry (almost!)I wil try to scan in the pages to show off.. :)

I will miss all of them soooooooo much! :)

Well life goes on, and as long as we are on this planet earth, we will all still see eachother.

Look what my ex colleague made for my farewell.. You can click on the photos and see hidden mesage!

Can see how much I have changed since I joined BLUE and to towards the last days in BLUE.. Can see myself ageing and losing the baby fats.. haha

eewww i really donno why i permed my hair?!

I was complaining he used only the ugly pix of me.. (btw he is my official appointed photographer)

But i love him for making this for me :)) Thank you!!

    11.20.2005

What I have been doing lately..

Ever since I have resigned, my life has changed.

I am much happier, relaxed, and surprisingly.... busy..! But busy in different way. :)

I ran all the errands that I have been sitting on. i.e. going to the bank and get new atm card, new bankbook.. Filed my statements neatly by different banks.. Threw away all the nonsense I have around the house.. put up my christmas tree.. downloaded my photos that were stuck in my digi cam since march.. tidy up my wardrobe and arranged them by colors.. got a good tan thanks to fine weather when i was enjoying in lieu.. Got my US visa..

Also, met up with different friends every week. Catching up with them, had new gossips to share and of course bitching about everything.. :)

Had enough time to get to know my cats better..

Found out my ex boss lives 29th floor of my block :)

    Finished CSI Miami season 2..

Finally I have ended my Project Management course my submitting the last assignment!

Adopted 3 plants that sits nicely in my balcony.. Planning to get more.. It certainly adds a flair to my otherwise plain balcony :)

Got my first wisdom tooth extraction.. finally after days of agony in pain..

    Had my nails done... finally..

Got myself a bling bling :P

Found out sharks gets their fins cut off then thrown back to the sea, which will end up dead.. sigh... I curse myself for loving sharks fin.. Save the sharks!!

And this is what I am planning to get busy after I come back from my Bali and US trip..

    1. Open house cum house warming
    - Yes I am still yet to invite my kakis over for my fab cooking :) esp for those who helped me move 6 months ago..

    2. Start online album
    - I have loads of photos to share..

    3. Redecorate my house
    - I am into redecorating now.. I have few ideas.. Right now I am looking around to get ideas, but will definetely get a day bed and a console.. This is my favourite furniture store. The owner designs them. And his stuff are fabulous and affordable.. click click
So probably I will go for furniture shopping when i am back..

    4. Save fund
-... for Osim massage chair.. Maybe every month 500 bucks so I can get it in 7 months time?? I really want to get this for my loving doting parents..

    5. Health
    - yes, i shall continue with my yoga, and probably start gymming again..
    Also planning to get lasik..

Hehe.. I think it will be a busy start for year 06..

    11.19.2005

Something interesting I found at the Creative site..

Was surfing the Creative site.. And guess what I found?

You will see my name in one of the consolation prize winners..
haha.. yes I won a black micro zen last year, which i sold it off at $380 at yahoo auction. I cant remember what I did with the money tho... Must have shopped.. :P

When I received the email from Creative informing me of winning, I thought it was spam so I deleted it.. But then the email looked to real.

I am in fact in email marketing business right?

I know a bit about phishing and stuff.. So i looked at their from email address and reply to email address and looked so real... So i called up Creative, and found out it was true.. heehee...

Well, it brings back the memories. :)

    A Blessed Christmas dress rehearsal

Was invited to media corp Christmas TV programme, "A blessed christmas" dress rehearsal, which will air on Christmas Eve and on the Christmas day.

I will encourage you all who are from BLUE to watch cos you will see a very familiar pretty face in the first row of the choir on stage.. :)

No it's not me.. I was there as an audience only lah:)

The show was quite entertaining to my surprise, just that we didn't recognise most of the actors or singers.. haha
But most of them looked much prettier, slimmer in real life..!!

Wanted to see Taufik but I guess he is a Malay... Not related to Christmas, so he wasnt there whereas all other idols were there. And xtually, Sly is quite cute! hehe

Saw the superstar, weelian, and he can really sing! And he play the guitar so well.. It is amazing! Kelly is so cute too..
And Jamie teo dont really look like char siew pau.. (I don't know why but when i see her in tv, always remind me of char siew pau) She is in fact quite pretty.. :P

So overall, it is an entertaining 1 hour show.. Lots of Christmas songs... So really do feel that Christmas is in fact near..

So go and watch it, not only because of the actors or singers (cos not much to see anyway), but to support the soon to be ex-blue choir singer!! :)

    Get a part time maid??

Most of the people know what a messy and untidy person I am..
Only the outlook of how i look like I am so organised..

But in reality I am so untidy and I hate tidying up.

I need to carry a spacious bag because I have so many things! and end up missing all the calls cos i cant find my mobile phone.. :|
I need a bigger closet cos my clothes are everywhere..
I need a big doored store room so i can just chunk all the things lying around..
I should get rid of all the drawer cabinets cos it too darn messy.

When I was living with my parents, my mom didnt even bother to clean my room. She will vacuum around the house and stops in front of my bedroom. My desk was a huge office desk, so gave me a perfect excuse to pile things up. And amazing thing is I can find everything!
My dad use to comment to my mom that creative people are always messy, whenever she complains how a girl can be so messy and untidy.. haha I LOVE MY DAD!

I am obsessed with vacuum tho. I will vacum at least once in two days and I always walk around the house with the magic clean. That mop thingy that traps hair. I just cant stand hair on the floor. And now I have two hairy babies, it is worse..

I am obsessed with laundry too. I love doing laundry.. But I hate to fold them and hang them nicely after it is dry.. so end up all the clean clothes piling up on my dining chair.. :P

I hate doing dishes, cleaning up the kitchen, cleaning up the fridge..
    I hate ironing..
    I hate cleaning windows..
I hate cleaning my toilet mirror..
I don't like to tidy up my shoes at the doorway..
I don't like to make my bed..
I don't like to mop things..

So does it give a perfect reason to get a part time maid??

Or I just need to marry a guy who is willing to do all the house chores.. :P

cos I don't think I can be a domestic fulltime housewife.. Oh but i cook!! any takers? keke You just need to do the dishes!

    God's endless love

    God loves me so much.
He is always there when i reach for him and when i need him.. There were times I strayed and didn't really act how a Christian should behave, but God was always there and he will always be..

When i was young, i took this as an advantage.. Only when I was in trouble and need a miracle, I will pray to God to make that trouble go away.. and he did. He really responded to all my prayers..

Then I strayed for a while, but God was always there still loving me.. Like the father in the bible, who never gave up on his son, and accepted him with open arms when he came back.
Recently, i truly realised and felt the love God has endlessly showering me with.. It was through a colleague (you know who you are *hint: has a little cutie baby girl). She is a devoted Christian which I realised God was using her to share her testimonials through her blog to open my mind to God again... So I thank God.. God always has his reasons.. always. ;)

I always pray to God, even stupid things like:

Request: "God, I really don't feel like working today.. Can you make sure Kana crashes so I don't have to work?"
Reply: Kana really crashed that evening and London tried real hard to revive but could not! They had no idea why! Praise the Lord! --> But after that.. It was down for two days, which meant, OT for next two days.. So I dont pray for such things anymore :P

Request: I always pray before I get on the escalator.. yes I have a phobia on escalators since I was a kid.. "God, protect me when I am on escalator. Let the machines work as it should be."
Reply: In raffles city, I was about 5m away from the escalator. A guy suddenly rushed in front of me which made me say a "f" word but immediately i repented, cos praise the Lord (but pity the people on the escalator and the guy), the escalator suddenly stopped.. You can imagine the rest.. God prevented me from getting on the escalator hence I didnt fall like the rest..

Request: "Protect and guide me and my family when we are in the darkness and where ever we go and whatever we do"
Reply: God always protects me and my family. There is this one incident, back in 1995. There was a major accident in Korea, which a mega department store collapsed due to illegal contruction. I was there and came out from the building just 20 minutes before it collapsed. I truly believe it was God who protected me which prompted me to go out of the building. Usually I don't feel very hot, but that day in that building, I felt very hot and started to sweat which is very unusal.. My friends wanted to have dinner, but i was so uncomfortable I insisted to go home.. Yes.. God saved mine and my friends lives that day.. Praise the Lord..

There are lot more testimonials to share how much God loves me..
Everytime I praise him, it brings tears to my eyes filling my heart with joy and contentment..

People say you turn to religion when there is nowhere else to turn to.. i disagree, but agree as well.. God was there in the first place, and he will always wait for you. He never abandons you and send you signs that he is always there waiting for you. (There are so many signs!)When you turn to him, he will greet you with open arms, and he will shower you with lotsa love..

I don't really know why I am posting this today, but holy spirit is prompting me to.. Maybe someone out there who reads my post needs God's words through me. Though I am not a very good messenger and not a role model Christian, I can say lot about how much God loves me and everyone else.
Whoever is reading this post, God bless you, and I will pray for you. :)

"I drew them with gentle cords, with bands of love. - Hosea 11:4"

    God's love has no limits.

    My lovely cats

I have the most beautiful and loving cats ever..
Those who have seen them, would fall in love instantly.

Two of their characters are so different and make me smile everytime.. Yes.. I am obsessed with them.. I wonder if it will be the same when i have my own babies in future? haha

This one is Polly. I call her beebee though and she responds to beebee better.
She is one arrogant cat that likes to be left alone. Practically alone.. She hates to be touched, called or disturbed.. She is always in her own world.. It is an attitude of a former beauty queen.

She will always seat so gracefully around the house and she doesnt care about anything and anyone. She likes to be watched and adored..
She will come to me only when she needs or want something. She loves suntanning and she loves steamed chicken breast meat.. yes.. i steam chicken for her.. Such a pampered cat.. She only has taste for the most expensive cat food.. sigh...

She is very well behaved cat, which knows what is not allowed and what is allowed. So when she does something she knows I am going to scold her, she will stay down real low and run away the moment our eyes meet..

This one is Crayon. Found her downstairs HDB block when she was only about 4 months old. She is such an affectionate cat. Total opposite of Polly. She barks, she bites and run to you when you call her.. Sounds familiar? hehe she acts like a dog..

And boy, she loves to eat.. She eats and eats and eats.
She follows whatever Polly does. Which is good in a way cos Polly is such a well behaved cat, I didnt really have to train Crayon. She knew how to use the litter from Polly as well.
Crayon follows me around the whole day. She goes wherever I go and interested in everything I do.. She sleeps with me and uses me as her bolster pillow.. Just so adorable that I dont dare to move when she is asleep though I get cramps.. :)

But when they are together, it is a nightmare.. Polly has a maternal instict so she wants to take care of crayon and play with her, but crayon hates it. So they end up in a rumble.
Crayon is a jealous cat, so when Polly comes near me, she will guard me to make sure polly doesnt get near me. :)
Though however, Crayon knows Polly is the elder sister, so she will let Polly eat all the nice food first and let Polly use the toilet first.

Arent they the loveliest cats ever???

    Thankfulness

I went to church yesterday and it was a real good sermon. I always prefer Pastor Lawrence's sermon, because whenever he preaches, it is something I need to hear that moment..

This week's sermon was about thankfulness.
Yes, there are so much to thank and be grateful for..

I thank for paying my taxes, cos it means I have a job.
I thank for the endless laundry and ironing, cos it means I have clothes to wear.
I thank for vacuming and mopping and fixing up the aircon, cos it means I have a house to stay.
I thank for my failures in all the diet i attempt, cos it means I have food to eat.
I thank for my $180 hp bills, cos it means I have friends who keeps in touch.
I thank for all the nagging and pestering of my parents and from my brother, cos it means I have a loving and caring family.

I thank for everything I have, I own, I do.. Cos it means I have God watching over every move I make and every step I take...

Finally the sun has set.... and i'm ready for the brand new day..

After much thoughts, i have finally done what I should have done quite some time ago..

I thought i would feel better and enjoy the freedom, however, i am sad! I never thought I would be sad..
Then i start to think, was it a right decision? Am I sure?

But it's time to move on.. It was good three years.. Met lots of nice people who i call them friends other than ex colleagues.. will leave good sets of friends behind, but we are friends after all... I will still see them and go out for a nice mojito.. :)

I have a very good boss, who i respect and who is so good to me.. I hate to do this to him, but this is life isnt it?

Now another chapter of my life is coming to an end, and I have just signed a new chapter... New beginning, new life, new start, new hope..

I shall not look back.. Will only look forward..

I wanted to travel New York with my own expense while in Uni. and I did.
I wanted to move out when I reach 23. and I did.
I wanted to get a first job and give my full first salary to my parents. and I did.
I wanted to give my brother pocket money whenever he needed. and I did.
I wanted to get my driver's license in my 2nd try. and I did.

There are more things in life I would like to achive as I move on.
More chapters will close and more new chapters to be added on..

Thank you Lord Jesus, for loving me so much and always looking out for my path. For giving me courage to move on and leading me to new opened doors..
    I am so blessed...

Things I noticed while working from home..

I am rarely at home during the afternoons..
Weekdays are because I am working and During the weekends, I am always out.. So only time I stay at home is when is dark at night or early in the mornings.

Since yesterday afternoon about 4ish my left eye began to swell.. I have no idea the reason, maybe is because my contact lens.. Or stress.. Staring at laptop too much with my left eye?! :P

This morning is a bit better, but is red now and very itchy.. So i decided to stay home and work. And I really worked ok! Tot I could cheat and do my course proj but seriously no time to do my personal stuff, other than occasionally spinning my washing machine.. (yah didnt do my launcdry for a week!)

newayz... these are the things I noticed...

    1. Polly sleeps whole aftern.. She occasionally gets up to change her sleeping position or to move from one window to another.. But seriously, she sleeeeeeeeeps! And she is so irritated by me disrupting her sleep, she will practically give me that annoying look "why are you here"!

    2. Crayon also sleeps but she gets up a bit more often to EAT. She is happy I am home so want to kpoh me, but end up sleeping too..

    3. My house is so bright and breezy.. Since I stay on the 2nd flr, I have a big balcony.. And birds come to entertain the cats!

    4. When the wind gush into my house and i hear the leaves on the trees brushing each other, i feel like I am in a resort lying beside the pool.. It is just so relaxing..
How I wish I can get wireless access at the poolside too!

    5. Time passes real quick

    6. The neighbour dog doesnt bark the whole day as I thought previously...

    7. carpark is empty. So I could park my car under the shelter

    8. heavy rain actually does not wet my balcony door.. Which means, when I leave my clothes to dry outside and it rains, it doesnt really wet my clothes.. So i don't need to rewash them.. :P

I think I should work from home more often.. heehee
and yes, Polly and Crayon is still sleeping..

    [updated] at 6:58pm

    9. You work longer than 8hours if you work from home.. I started working @ 8.30am and now is going 7pm where most of the people has gone home, I am still struggling with emails...

But I still think I should work from home more often.. heehee

and yes, Polly and Crayon just woke up.. this is about time I get home if I don't OT and they will be waiting for me cos is their meal time.. :P

Why I long to be a tai tai

    It's not just a tai-tai
I would like to be a full time working tai-tai.

Everyone asks, wouldn't it be boring to be a taitai?
Are you kidding me? 24 hours is not enough to be a professional tai-tai!

For me, I always wanted to buy a shophouse at Club street. I would open a cafe on the first floor. The cafe sells all kind of coffee and tea from all over the world. And small finger food. It will be opened till late, where customers can come and stay as long as they want. After all, I am a tai tai, I have no intention of earning big bucks right?
It is special kind of tea and coffee which would require me to travel all over the world to get the stuff.. And the cafe will have all the rare tea cups and coffee cups which you cant find in Spore. And I will sell them too if the customers likes them. The interior will be a resort feeling so the customers can relax with the unique coffee/tea aroma.

The 2nd floor will be a little shop. Where I will sell accessories from all over the world. I will carry some local designer stuff as well to support them. And all stocks will be only one stock each. So you will be the only owner who owns that design! Isn't that unique and cool??

3rd floor will be my office cum rest area.. So when i quarrel with my rich hubby, and I don't want to see his face, I can come here and sulk.. so he can come over and apologise with a big diamond ring. haha :P

So normal days I will be busy with my cafe.. Well actually busy bossing around the employees.. hehe

I need to go for mani and pedi for at least once a week, plus regular visit to my hair stylist for that perfect hair texture and style.
I need to go to spa to relax and to socialise with other tai tais.
Also not forgetting the frequent visit to the slim centers to get rid off the fats you gained from hi-tea every afternoon with the tai tai friends.
And facial at least twice a month to get rid of all the freckles from morning tee-off..

Tai tais never shop during the sales.. So I need to shop everyday before the sales come. I only by new arrival, NETT price items. Only that? I need to fly to Milan and London and Paris to stock up my wardrobe and be the envy of other tai tais. I need to go Japan at least once a month to have the fat tuna belly sashimi.. I need to head down to Las Vegas to flaunt my cash and roll dice together with the world billionaires..

Then I need to change my car at least once in 3 months, so I need to go for test drives! Maybe I should just fly around with my own heli since I have so much parties, openings, fashion shows to attend!

What about remodelling my bunglow every season?

Damn.. so tell me, do you really think tai tais are so free? Got so much to do!

Oh well, on the other hand i think, would God be really happy with this kind of life?
Maybe if I do become one, I might be too contented with myself, I would forget about God and end up thinking I am the God...
Maybe that is why, God has blessed me with what I have now and I am contented with my life.. So Thank you God for blessing me and making me for who I am now and what you have planned for me..

But, is not bad to day dream about it.. isnt it? hehe

    10 things I don't appreciate in life

I am a person who knows exactly what I like and what I hate.

For those things that I hate, I will really hate and will despise forever. It is very difficult to like 'em. :P

These are the things/stuff I despise..

    1. Dead Cockroaches!

I hate cockroaches. I can stand other bugs.. but not roaches.
Especially dead ones. It looks like it's playing dead.. You never know when it will get up and come towards you.. I am so freaked out by them that once i actually called my condo security guard to come up and throw it away. And the guard actually picked it up with his bare fingers!! AAAArrrggggghhhhhh
Get this.. My cats will haunt roaches (and lizards as well).. They will kill it and leave it where I can see it. i am supposed to praise them, because it is their way of showing affection towards you... Though how grossed I am, I will praise them hug them kiss them.. and make sure i scrub their paws clean....

    2. Smell..

I am verrry sensitive with smell. I can smell a mile away.. So i cant stand things that stinks.. Like..
Smelly Hairy Armpits... eeeewwwwww... And they lift up the arms!
Body ordur.... yuk... especially in bus or in MRT.. I know I am being rude but I will really cover my nose with my hands in front of them. Hell I care..
Especially those who take public transport after their gym.. For goodness sake, why aren't they utilising the shower room??
Also those who smell bad and they think they can cover the odour with loads of perfume.. please.. use that money spent on perfume on your PUB bills to bathe more often?

    3. Dirty wet toilet

I am particular about toilet. When i check in hotels, first thing I check is the toilet. Also i like my bathroom floor dry. So I cant stand people who shower until floor is flooded with water.. If it is, show a bit of courtesy to dry the floor afterwards?? What are shower curtains and floor mats for?
Singapore public toilets are generally clean. But as I said above, i am sensitive with smell.. The toilets I love to use is @ Great World City, Taka toilet at Best Denki, Millenia walk, Hyatt hotel and Mandarin Hotel. If not, I will rather "hold" until i get home..

    4. Pigeons

I am not a big fan of birds. Maybe it is because of the horror movie i saw when i was young.
I espcially hate pigeons. They are so fat they look like chickens. They are so gross and their droppings are so toxic to my car. Did you know when they flap their wings once, millions of lice will drop? I will freak out when they fly about. In some of romantic movie scenes, actors will run under the flock of pigeons. That is so gross and unhygenic and unromantic...! Wonder if they know???? When i was in Paris there were so many fat pikens. (pigeons that are as fat as a chicken so i call them pikens) I was screaming when ever they flew above me or by me or near me.. I just absolutely HATE them. Symbol of peace? Yah whatever....

    5. Peas

I like vegetables. BUT i DO NOT eat Peas... I just don't like the taste of it.. It taste nothing.. Whether it is steamed, boiled, or however it is cooked in chinese or western, I will not eat 'em. When I was young my mom tried everything to feed me peas. And i used to throw them behind the washing machine. --;; Wonder if my mom knew?
I filter out all the peas in my fried rice - One by One.

    6. Rude people

Actually I am rude in some way too. Maybe bitchy. :P But I am rude to people who are rude. Like:
Who get on the train, bus, lift before letting people alight. Mind your manners and courtesy people!!!! because even you rush in, no one is going to give up seat for you whether you are old or pregnant anyway...
Those who say things bluntly without thinking. Saying things that hurts people and this person doesnt even know! When i hear that i wont care and i definetely shoot back and tell them straight in the face to shut their f#$%ing mouth. But there are some people who just keep quiet even how hurtful those words are to them. Then I will speak up for them. I just cant stand people who comments without thinking. What is your brain for??

    7. Stupidity

I can't stand stupidity. 'nuff said.

    8. Bad Service

I hate bad services. Nowadays I will scream, complain and demand my $$ back if I get a bad service. I paid good $$ and 10% service charge is already included so i expect good service. And I will do this in front of alot of customers to fan them away.

    This is a bonus:
    10. Gigi Leung

I just simply cannot stand this woman. Who is totally not talented, cannot act nor sing and tries very hard to look cute.... Please go away forever and never ever come back....

    Autumn in Paris

    Paris is extremely beautiful.
Reached about 12 noon on Saturday.. Since most of the shops closes on Sunday, first thing I did was go shopping! Went to Louis Vuitton, which is about 20% cheaper than SG. will definetely shop for LV bags in future in Paris.. :)

Took a stroll along Champs-Elysees, which is a stretch from Arc de Triomphe... It is autumn in Paris, so it is all golden brown along champs-elysees.

The weather is much cooler than London and it has lots of sun unlike London..

Everywhere you go it has history. I loved Montmartre. It is highest point in paris. It has great view and fantastic cafes. It is so picturesque.

Paris is easy to get around. i felt more safer in Paris than in London.
Frenchmen are so well-mannered! They are very helpful and charming. Feels good to be a gal in Paris. :)

Sunday I went to Lourve.. I was overwhelmed when I saw the original art works.. Renoir, Ruben and not forgetting Davinci.. Yes i saw the Monalisa.. I still don't understand why it's so famous!

Parisians love to sit by the roadside cafe and drink coffee looking at passerbys.. That is what I like to do :) Now I know why all the shops are closed on Sunday. because they spend whole sunday sitting at the cafe! :P

I enjoyed Paris. The city is so different from other cities I have been to so far..
But I prefer London. For me, Paris is nice city to visit, but not to live in.. No wonder London beat Paris to host the Olympics!

I will upload the pix soon... :)

    9.16.2005

1 more night to head to Paris

Seems like yesterday when i reached London and wanted to go back home already.. But my project came to an end and in 2 hours time, I will head to London office @ King's Cross for half to day to catch up with other projects..

And tomorrow @ 4am I will head to Waterloo to take the EURO Train to head for Paris. New experience, full of hope and expectations...

I don't want to go back to Spore anymore... Especially after I found a good Indian restaurant behind my hotel!! hell.... I can live here in London. I am so adapted to this life in london, the tube, the people, the pounds... I don't even look like a tourist!

I love Tesco which is like Cold Storage in Spore. They got so much organic food and is cheap comparing to Spore. I pop into Boots everyday which is like Watsons..
I love the cool weather, i love the way people talk (proper english :P), I love the shopping in flee markets, I love the krispy kreme, Harrods, Topshop, H&M, TV programs, Vogue magazines.... man, I dread to leave...

Oh well, there will be another chance.. To venture more places out there... And I will be back definetely.. :)

1 hour to go for my last lunch in Cisco Canteen..
oh btw, downstairs, one of the Cisco team they are having an event. Is so lovely. The entire floor is covered with some foam so looks like snow.. And they decorated with lots of minautre christmas trees and the tables are now transformed to ice cubes.. Is brilliant.. I am going to take a pix and upload so you can see how cool it looks.. Maybe i should suggest this to blue so we can have a christmas party with this kind of theme.. hehe

It is a great day today. great weather.. Start of real autumn.. So the sky is blue and sun is bright. But the wind is definetely much cooler.. i will remember this moment every single day of my life.. :)

One more night to head for Paris!

    9.15.2005

    My 6th Day in London

It is raining today. Typical English weather.. There goes my plan for this evening.. which i was thinking of going Bond street for some shopping before I leave.. damn..

Tomorrow, is the start of real Autumn since the temperature drops to 12c.
The weather was not too bad for past few days. Occasional sun and cool breeze.

Hopefully Paris has good weather. I don't mind cold, as long as it does not rain!

Cisco canteen serves really good food. Different menu everyday and wide selection of choices. The price is half of what you get from outside. And as you know, all drinks and fruits are free in Cisco.. Lucky bastards.. :P

Today theme was Indian Festival.. So I was really looking forward for some Spicy Indian Curry! But what the heck...? It tastes like Spaghetti bolognese sauce.. damn it.. They call it English curry... Well what was I supposed to expect? It's Indian curry cooked by angmoh..! Duh..! hehehe

Well, I cant wait to go back home.. When I get back, I will have chicken rice with loads of chilli.. Just thinking about it already makes me drool..

Oh btw, now I am a proud owner of iPod shuffle. hehe
With months of agonising whether i am getting a iPod Mini or Samusung iRiver, 28D got me a shuffle with a very good price and will have songs stored in it already!! So I am one happy girl! Thanks 28D!!
but, i didn't know apple products dont have radio... oh well, who cares as long as I have my theme songs stored in it!
Question.. Can I still get that white speaker set...?

2 more nights to head for Paris!

    9.13.2005

    In London

Overslept on Saturday and I almost missed my flight..
Thank God, I live 10 minutes away from airport and did a internet check in. I arrived just 40 minutes before the plane took off... heehee
Didn't even hf time to kiss my cats good bye!

Could not sleep through the 13 hour flight.. Watched 5 movies.. But not too bad.. SQ always have new movies!

Took two hours to get out from Heathrow airport.. (Then you realise how efficient Singapore airport is!!)

When I reached the hotel, took a shower and slept.. I didnt suffer jet lag in my previous trip.. But this time round, I am suffering a terrible jet-lag...

Sunday, I went to picadilly circus for breakfast. Walked along Regent Street to Oxford Circus.. I just love this shopping area!
Went to Liverpool in the afternoon to visit Spitafield Market.. And bot a 25 pounds tshirt from this art student.. When I bought it i was thinking is so cheap!! (I was thinking in $ not pounds! which is X3 aaarrrrgh)
Had a good Indian food @ Bricklane.. Then went back to Regent Street, for my favourite Carnaby Market.. :) Too ex to buy anything! But good for eye shopping..

    And Yesterday I started working..
Cisco Systems London Office @ Bedfont Lakes is a great place to work.. Have a great view from the canteen.. Last time, the cab driver told me, this area is where the headless horsemen story came about... wonder if it is true? Whether or not, I shall avoid working too late.. in case I bump into this headless horsemen guy.. hmm.. wonder if then Johnny Depp will come and rescue me?! :P
Anyway Cisco is a wonderful company to work for.. If i have a chance I won't mind being employeed full time :P

Training is fun. I got two beautiful girls working together..
One from Ukraine and the other, German. Last time were 4 guys. German, French, Italian and Spanish.. Great that I work with all different European countries.. And they are all nice.
And get this.. Even I am much older than them.. I look much younger!! haha
They commented that Asian girls always look so young. :P Maybe is just me who look younger than my age! WAHAHAHA (comparing with the other 78s in the office.. Saffy! don't say a word!!!)

3 more days to head for Paris.... Can't wait!

    9.08.2005

Ready to Set off.. Voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir?

    Buckingham Palace Apr'05
After 2 weeks of delaying and thinking and agonizing, have finally bought tix to Paris and booked the hotel...

I never thought I will be going London again after the last trip in April.. But what the heck... since the client is paying for it, might well as just go and do my job and have a break in Paris before my return to this hell..

Since I have visited all the major place in my last visit in London, this time round, i will take my time and go to places that I didnt go.. My fren insists I should go Brick Lane Market at Liverpool on sunday since my favourite notting hill Potobello Market closes on sunday.. And this time, I shall definetely try the scone which she swears by it..

Oh and I will definetely go to the Green Park @ Buckingham Palace.. I was there in Spring which was fabulous.. So now is beginning of Autumn, it will be even more gorgeous.. I will take the pix at the same spot :P
And must buy 2 dozens of Krispy Kreame back from Harrods.. The world best doughnuts!

I am taking Euro rail to Paris. It is so f@#$ing Ex.. 49 pounds for single trip. So return is about 100 pounds.. For goodness sake.. But from Spore to go Paris, it is more expensive, so I shall take this opportunity to go visit and be broke for next two months.

I have planned my itinery in Paris with the help of my dear friends. Going for my LV shopping as soon as I check in, then will visit the Arc Triumphe which is near by. Then I will got to Eiffel Tower to see the night view.. And will have nice dinner with a glass of French wine by the seine river..
Next day, it will be a rush, going to Lourve museum for the famous Monalisa and my favourite Monet paintings.. Then rush down to Nottredam and have a cuppa at the alley which Mich could non-stop talking about.. Then head to Eiffel Tower to see the day view. Want to go versailles, but seems like is too far... Then will visit some flee markets for pure eye-shopping (seriously!).. Not forgetting "parisian watching" at the road side cafe with capuccino and crissont.. I think it will complete my trip.. :)

Now I need to finish my course project.. And pack tomorrow..

Then I am all set to adventure by myself. Paris! Here I come!!

Ps. Saffy and 28D, as usual you guys shall recive my mms from Paris. Wahahaha :P

Stars are always there even in the daylight - sometimes we just can't see them

I love reading thrillers.. Especially those got murder cases with detectives etc.. I am a big fan of Jeffery Deaver, James Patterson..

So yes, I love watching CSI, Without a Trace, Cold Case.. you name it..

I love books. But I dont read romance nor magazines.. Romance books are so cheap and sleazy.. Magazines are waste of $, and makes me want to go shopping.. So is bad :P That is why I stopped buying magazines :)

Recently tho, I got obsessed with chick flicks a.k.a bimbo books. I never liked them, but it all started with "Sushi for beginners". Bot this book @ the airport on the way to London. Tot tis would be e perfect book for me to fall asleep since it is 13 hours flight. Which it did.. It was boring as expected..

    But it happened, in London. I had nothing much after work so back in hotel, grabbed e book while watching previous season CSI in Spanish --;;
It got me reading.. it was so easy to digest without e need of using my brain trying to figure out who is the murderer and the motive.. It was that simple.
So no sleep for 13 hours flight back, finished the book.

After this I started reading Marian Keys books.. Chick bimbo flicks.. I read three of her books already and now, I am sick of it. I can hardly read one page and I will just fall asleep... So I am going back to my detectives who is fighting the crime.. That is my kind of book..

So before I really resign from e chick flicks and sell it off to to e 2nd hand bookstore, I will give a book review.

last book I read is "Angels". It is a sweet boring book about this couple getting seperated and trying to find their new love and in e end, they realise they are e one for eachother blah blah. The husband says:

"Stars are always there even in the daylight - sometimes we just can't see them"

I really like this phrase.. it can be interpreted in lot of ways.. Whether it is love work or life..
When you want to give up on sumtings bcos of hindrances or watever, u should carry on... Cos stars are always there and we just dont see them at times...

    How blur can I be?

    I wondered..

Why am i missing the $1.50 green private bus @ 8.50am every morning since last few weeks? I am waking up at the same time! Maybe the bus schedule changed..

Why is the cleaning truck downstairs come so early nowadays? They usually come and clean about 8.30am and now is only 7.50am!

Why is Crayon waking me up so early nowadays? Usually she will bug me about 8am to turn on the tap so she can drink water? (Yes, Crayon drinks fresh water from the tap!)

Why does it get so bright so early nowadays? It's only 6.20 am and is starting to break dawn....

Why do I arrive office later, though now I take $4.30 bus plus van ever since I started missing the $1.50 green bus? (bus plus should be faster)

And I found out the reason two days ago.....
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
    .
I only have one clock at home. Which is my alarm clock.
And the alarm clock was 40 minutes behind I don't know since when!!! duh~~~~~

    No wonder!!!!!!!

So I didnt miss the $1.50 green bus and I was early at work today. :)

I love Singapore more than some of the Singaporeans out there

I have been living in Singapore total of 13 years now.
Though I love my mother country Korea and will settle down there one day, I still love being in Singapore and proud to be a Singapore PR.

Whenever I come back from overseas and step out from Changi airport, the hot humid air fills my lungs.. I know I am home..

I think I am more patriotic than some of Singaporeans out there. When I listen National Day speech by the PM every year, it brings tears to my eyes with all the respect. Whatever is said in the speech, it is done. So efficient and practical. I wonder how many leaders out there in this world, actually keep promises. Their plans and goals are all simple yet achievable. Things that cannot be done is not said. How realistic is that!

    I have very high respect for Snr PM Lee Kuan Yew and think there would be no greater man in this history who has acheived so much. I especially like the video clip when they show Lee Kuan Yew sheding tears when MY abandoned SG. It is so touching and I will cry together. -_-;;

Where in this world, you can go out middle of the night for a jog without having to worry about being mugged?
Where in this world, you can take a cab after long night of clubbing and know you are safe?
Where in this world you don't have to worry about bribing the officials?
Where in this world, different races live in harmony?
Where in this world, almost all population own a house?

Singaporeans complain about PAP, CPF, not being able to do alot of things, paying so much fines, not many places to go or do in the weekend, but I think it's for your own good. :P

    But I feel the Singaporeans**...
    ..are not hard working enough.
..are so NATO. (No Action Talk Only)
..think what Singapore will do for them, not what they can do for the country.
..have no courtesy that you need a campaign for it. Why cant they just bloody let people alight first in MRT?
..throw things out of their HDB windows? Urniating at the staircase and in the lift! Void decks are still part of their home!
    ..lack of general knowledge.
..lack of nationalism. But maybe bcos is due to very short history.

(**I would like to note not every Singaporeans are like that)

    However....
To conclude, I love Singapore. The garden city.. I met so many wonderful Singaporean friends. It is truly my home :)

    $$$$

Everyone has $ issues. Rich or Poor you have cash problems.

Truthfully, I earn enough for me to spend. I don't get fat pay check but enough for me to pay my bills, food to eat, for my social life, nice meals in restaurant every weekend, for petrol, travel at least twice a yr, treat for myself at Max&Co or Gucci and will still have bit extra to save.. But enough is never enough. You get greedier, more demanding, set your standards higher and higher. Is that the reason why they say belly button is bigger than your belly??

Two years back I earnt only half of what I am earning now. And I still survived and saved more than what i can save now. Does it mean I became more materialistic? e more I earn, e more spender i become?

But I don't anyhow splurge on things. When I go shopping, I will think and think. I know exactly how much I have in my bank accounts, and how much I charged to my plastics. If I want a Gucci bag that costs 1000 dollars, though I can afford to get straight away, instead I will set some $ aside every month so I can get it after 2 or 3 months.
I don't buy 10 tshirts that costs $20. Instead I will rather get one DKNY tshirt that costs $130. I am stingy about buying small little things..

That's why I don't go broke at least and don't owe any of e banks.

But this is just reasoning myself.. i can save all that money. I have whole lot of clothes that I can survive for next 5 years, different shoes I can wear everyday for next 3 months, at least 3 years supply of perfumes and lotsa branded bags and Tiffany blue boxes that I could have bought a small house by now. So now I think to myself, was that all worth it? Maybe.. But do I need all that? Will I die if I don't own any of these things?

I heard you need 6 times of your current salary in your bank for the rainny day. And I aim to do so starting from my this month paycheck.

    Once in a Life time..

Whole sunday I was at White Link helping my good friend couple trying on their wedding gowns and suits..

My friends are a good looking couple, so they looked real good on whatever they tried on. It was real fun. We were sitting on e sofa and the guys will say "Noooooo" or "yey" whenever my gal friend came out with numerous dresses. And we made continuous fun of e groom as usual. :P

It was tiring spending whole afternoon there, but it was fun and exciting. I was so engrossed, I was tempted to try on the dresses myself! The groom asked me to go find a dress to wear as a bridesmaid, but my eyes were only set on e wedding gowns.. LOL. But wait a minute! Who says bridesmaid cannot wear a wedding gown??!!

One thing I realised by looking at other couples there, though you are not that fantastic looking, they will all transform, when they try on the dress.. They have this glow.. :)

I planned my wedding when I was 18. I designed my own 2 dresses, groom suit, wedding ring, wedding photo location, e kind of car, food, cake, music, flowers, color scheme, wedding location and dinner location as well as e honeymoon. Even e details of what my parents should wear! Not forgetting my thank you speech. Is it too much if I say I even set the month of when my wedding will be held? And it stil remains the same. Haven't even changed a bit.

I have no idea when it will be but I will make sure at least 80% of what I dreamt should come true. (20% is because the age didnt come true and probably the wedding location might change :P)

It is once in a lifetime, when two becomes truly one. And saying "I do" means eternally you will be husband and wife being truthful to eachother, being there for each other for better or worse..

So it should be celebrated. Big and lavishly. Just like my dream wedding.. :)

    My "not-so-important-but-deadly" Obsessions

There are few things I am obsessed with:

    1. Cats
    2. Lip Gloss
    3. Eye Cream
    4. Branded Bag

If I don't have any of above every day, something will go terribly wrong. (goodness, am I a Bimbo?!)

And it did. I ran out of lip gloss! FYI I love using Stila lipgloss, since I don't have to use my finger to apply and it doesnt smell like the spongy one does.. Also it lasts damn long and is so sticky!! One downside is you buy one tube, it only last one month.. And costs 23 bucks a stick.. So is really an investment every month :P

And it ran out! I felt so naked in the morning.. I was lost.. All because of a lip gloss..
Whole day all I could think of was where should I get my new lipgloss? Though I love Stila, I decided to try something else.. Lancome? Chanel? As long as it's not a sponge tip I shall get it..

Then I went to Taka. Suddenly i realised I have aged.. I am not between 20-25 anymore.. I am looking at my 30s.. aaarrghhh.... My skin was dull and sagging.. I was suddenly so miserable!

I totally forgot about the mission of going taka to get my lip gloss, I frantically searched high and low for skin tone enhancer kind of miracle creame.

Estee Lauder is for older women so pass..
Chanel? I had very bad experience with their skin products years back.. But I was 19 then. They say Chanel is not suitable for younger ones.. Besides my mom uses Chanel.. So not for me YET..
CD? Neh... I dont think they are famous for skin products..
Clarins? I don't like the red and white combination kind.. too hospital feeling..
SK2? Heard so much bad things about them and they are too ex for nothing.. pass.
Lancome? ahh.. my favourite.. but seems like they dont have what I am looking for..

So Shiseido it was.. I love their skin care since I used shiseido since I was very young..
My mom makes big fuss about skin condition.. So since I was in primary school i was using clinique soap and shiseido skin lotion when my friends were using johnson&johnson or nivea.. But I guess now, I really thank my mom for all that. Since I dont have much complaints about my skin..

Anyway, I found exactly what I need. Visible Luminizer Serum. It costs 72 bucks. When applied, I could really see the difference!the skin tone was brighter and healthier. You use it every morning especially when you had a tired late night and the skin looks dull in the morning. I am getting it..

    But then..

The sales girl says "Your skin looks ok to me. It's not dull quite good skin"

Does she want to sell or not? So we concluded it is my mind playing tricks.. So the serum shall wait..

Oh, and I grabbed one lip gloss from Clinique before rushing off to meet my friend.. Which I think I shouldn't have.. :P

But because of the shiny lip, today is a much better day :) It's that simple to make Hena happy :))(i think i am a bimbo!)

I am now 27 years and 2 days old!

Oh my goodness.. I have finally hit 27.. I thought I will be 23 forever.. But time has passed and I have reached this stage where now I really need to think about my future.. sigh..

I was so sick on my Birthday that I totally lost my voice. I had slight fever and because of the medicine, i was just dozing off.. I had this flu for past 3 weeks which was just there but not progressing. The doc told me I need to rest more and sleep more.. Hmmmm... What a luxury would that be?

So on Saturday, on my belated 27th birthday, the damn flu finally got to me.

Went for dinner @ brewerkz with some of my close friends which was cool, because as soon as we sat down, fireworks begun.. haha
It went on for about 10 mins. it was nice.

Though I was sick but made sure I didn't take any cough medicine for past 3 hours, so I could drink good beer.

For past 27 years, there were lot of opportunities for me to learn and grow up. Met many people from different places who shaped me up. Went to many places so I could experience different aspects of life.

Overall, my 27 years was good. And now is up to me to make the rest of my 27 years ++ to be the best of my Life.

Thanks to everyone, who remembered my birthday and the super surprise delivery on Friday! It is the best gift ever!

    Reckless Driver am I?

I got my license on 14th March 2005. I passed with 18 points. This was my second try.

Thanks to my dear Wil', I was lucky to go behind the wheels that very day. It was at night and was so scary. Not used to Honda Fit which is customised and is auto drive, I was freaked out.. Could not change lanes, didn't dare to cut into expressway, didn't even think about going over 60kmp/h.

That was 4 months ago. Now? I fly.. I cut lanes like nobody's business, if another car tries to cut into my lane I will horn and high beam.. When stopped at traffic, I have to be the first to roam off when changed to green light. I can park without problems.. Only vertical parking though :P

    Then....my good friends confessed..
Wil' has complained that I drive like a cab driver. So feel like vomiting after wards. This is ok.. As long as I dont feel like vomiting..

I had comments like I drive like racing in a rally.. Which i think is a compliment.. Cos rally drivers are good rite??

Another comment was it is scary to sit in my car.. It's ok too. Cos fear is excitement..

But this is ultimate.. D's girlfriend says sitting in my car is like riding a ROLLER COASTER!!!

    Am I that bad??

    Back from Taiwan

    Taiwan Trip was overall fantastic.
Food was delicious, shopping was fabulous, company was best ever. The best thing was I was able to communicate with my Chinese! Amazing! I could live there!

We had a good laugh at the Yu Tong hotel.. Guessing which guest is the quickie guest and which guest are tourists.. But most of them were quickie guests which we heard knocking sounds through the night..
If the location was not good, then I would be cursing and swearing. However, location was fantastic. train station was right in front and all the food and shopping was around the hotel.

Yang Ming shan was nice too. Except that strong sulphur smell mist. Which me and Jas really hoped it would act as our facial treatment.

Had so much bubble tea, that I don't even want to look at it again. Mango Ice is fabulous especially the one @ Yong something something. I especially loved the fried dumplings they sell of the street which costs about 15NT. The Taiwan sausages are so yummy and fried chicken thingy is very tasty.. Mee Sua @ Ximen was spicy yet just so good.

I went crazy over shopping in Taipei when I found one Korean brand. And started to grab as much as I could. Then discovered havainas slippers.. That I had to get. Nine West sales. How can I let go? Then Puma boutique.. Oh my..

So overall, though it was tiring it was a good trip. I guess it was the company that counts.

So thanks to neo for taking so many amazing photos as usual, manoj for singing endlessly at the karaoke, law for letting me win all your money, yew for falling asleep while we girls were shopping, Cheryl for being such a good tour guide and Jas for being a great shopping kaki. :)

Till next trip... Thinking about Bangkok.. Are you guys on?

It doesn't rain all the time.. I will still be thankful for the rain..

It could be sunny and suddenly becomes cloudy and starts to rain. Sometimes could be accompanied by thunderstorms. But soon, I know the sun will come out from the dark clouds and shine upon me.

Whenever I feel stressed, I will always think above. I try to think that glass is half full. I mean in the end, it's me who makes my life easier and turn bad into something good isn't it? And one day, thinking back, I will be thankful for the rain and the thunderstorms..

I enjoy being me and I love my life.

Though there are times I wish I haven't done something or wish could change things, overall I think I am satisfied with my life. I am thankful for having this life.

Nobody is perfect and not every one's life is perfect. I am envious of some people of what I don't have, and I know others are envious of me for having what they don't. So God is fair :)

God blessed me with so many things that it's just not enough to say "Thank you Lord". But just to praise his graciousness.
*As you all know, I don't look like a holy person nor a model Christian. People don't believe I am a Sunday school teacher! (BTW, I quit a month ago)

    I am especially thankful for:

    Wonderful family
: Perfect dad, Awesome mom, Good Brother. And also not forgetting my grand parents, uncles, aunties, cousins, nephews, nieces.. They are just great! Picture Perfect family blessed with God's love..

    Friends
: I don't love all the friends around me.. :P But I am thankful they are there and being part of my life with so many memories whom helps me define who I am today.. My grandma always tell me, there are 9 type of friends. (I cant remember what each friends stand for)And that 9 types are not always perfect. But we need to have all that 9 friends because you need eachother.

    Job
: I am quite happy with my job. I mean I can't be 100% satisified right. If so, it will be called "play" not "work". I am happy I earn enough to have a roof on my head, food on the table and clothes to wear. I am happy that clients don't really give me hard time. I am happy that I get recognised for what I do. I am happy that I have a great team. I am happy that I get the support I need within the co. And also I am happy that I got a direct bus from home :)

    Everyday
: I am thankful that I get to wake up every morning knowing it will be a better day and more better days to come. I am thankful that I end the day without any major mishaps during the day and able to sleep in peace. I am thankful for my health.

And lastly I am thankful for having people who loves me, cares for me and being there for me :)
You know who you are :)

My Theme Song of the month

I have a theme song every month.I can listen to one song looping for whole day for a whole month.. I will drive people around me nuts. They complain end of the day that the song will be looping in their heads..

Thank goodness.. I am bad with lyrics and tunes, that even after one month of looping the same song, I will still not remember the lyrics and forget the tunes... :P

But I need to get ipod mini in pink.

Then people will say.. "For What? You only listen to one bloody song?!"

    WHY??

'cos I need to get my hands on that white speaker, which you place the ipod in the centre! That fancy speaker!!
Is that the only reason?? errrrr.... 'cos everyone has it nowadays so I should get it too..??
and 'cos I can listen to that bloody one song for really 24hrs?? Maybe then I will remember the lyrics...haha

which suddenly reminds me... I sold the creative zen for 390 bucks which I won @ lucky draw.. JY said I will not be able to sell @ that price but I did! haha

ANYWAYZZZ... (I cant understand why I always talk about something else half way..geeezzz)

There are a lot of nice songs out there.. But that exact time, that precise moment, that particular situation, a song will come to me and touch me... then i know... this is my theme song. It is saying the exact words of how I am feeling at that time..

These are some of my past english theme songs which I remember.. Even I tell you K-pop or Jpop you might not know.. :P

    Britney Spears: Sometimes
Westlife: If I let you go
    Bon Jovi: Always
98degrees: I do (or is it cherish?)
Guy Sebastian: Angels Brought Me Here
    Shania Twain: From this moment

hmmm by looking at my old theme songs above, seems like I am always deeply in love...?? Or is everyone singing about L.O.V.E only??

And I am listening to this song for past 3 months!!

    Hoobastank: The Reason

    Will look for the lyrics..

    My First BLOG!!

    Oh my goodness...

What am i getting into?? Now I am going to waste all my time exposing my private inner-self..

But I did keep a diary.. in which I stopped.. Only reason I started keeping diary was because I got this blue epi Louis-Vuitton organiser as a farewell gift from my ex several years ago anyway...

But as I am getting older, I realised I am having some memory loss... There seems to be lapse of time that I cant just remember..

Well, I am a very forgetful person.. Like I will always forget faces, names, things to bring, how many shoes I have (so that I can buy more), birthdays, anniversaries, lyrics, road names... etc etc.. And there are things I always remember like when is the ferragamo sales..

    enough of nonsense...

So here i go... Starting my story and join the fad...
