10 things I don't appreciate in life

I am a person who knows exactly what I like and what I hate.

For those things that I hate, I will really hate and will despise forever. It is very difficult to like 'em. :P

These are the things/stuff I despise..

1. Dead Cockroaches!

I hate cockroaches. I can stand other bugs.. but not roaches.
Especially dead ones. It looks like it's playing dead.. You never know when it will get up and come towards you.. I am so freaked out by them that once i actually called my condo security guard to come up and throw it away. And the guard actually picked it up with his bare fingers!! AAAArrrggggghhhhhh
Get this.. My cats will haunt roaches (and lizards as well).. They will kill it and leave it where I can see it. i am supposed to praise them, because it is their way of showing affection towards you... Though how grossed I am, I will praise them hug them kiss them.. and make sure i scrub their paws clean....

2. Smell..

I am verrry sensitive with smell. I can smell a mile away.. So i cant stand things that stinks.. Like..
Smelly Hairy Armpits... eeeewwwwww... And they lift up the arms!
Body ordur.... yuk... especially in bus or in MRT.. I know I am being rude but I will really cover my nose with my hands in front of them. Hell I care..
Especially those who take public transport after their gym.. For goodness sake, why aren't they utilising the shower room??
Also those who smell bad and they think they can cover the odour with loads of perfume.. please.. use that money spent on perfume on your PUB bills to bathe more often?

3. Dirty wet toilet

I am particular about toilet. When i check in hotels, first thing I check is the toilet. Also i like my bathroom floor dry. So I cant stand people who shower until floor is flooded with water.. If it is, show a bit of courtesy to dry the floor afterwards?? What are shower curtains and floor mats for?
Singapore public toilets are generally clean. But as I said above, i am sensitive with smell.. The toilets I love to use is @ Great World City, Taka toilet at Best Denki, Millenia walk, Hyatt hotel and Mandarin Hotel. If not, I will rather "hold" until i get home..

4. Pigeons

I am not a big fan of birds. Maybe it is because of the horror movie i saw when i was young.
I espcially hate pigeons. They are so fat they look like chickens. They are so gross and their droppings are so toxic to my car. Did you know when they flap their wings once, millions of lice will drop? I will freak out when they fly about. In some of romantic movie scenes, actors will run under the flock of pigeons. That is so gross and unhygenic and unromantic...! Wonder if they know???? When i was in Paris there were so many fat pikens. (pigeons that are as fat as a chicken so i call them pikens) I was screaming when ever they flew above me or by me or near me.. I just absolutely HATE them. Symbol of peace? Yah whatever....

5. Peas

I like vegetables. BUT i DO NOT eat Peas... I just don't like the taste of it.. It taste nothing.. Whether it is steamed, boiled, or however it is cooked in chinese or western, I will not eat 'em. When I was young my mom tried everything to feed me peas. And i used to throw them behind the washing machine. --;; Wonder if my mom knew?
I filter out all the peas in my fried rice - One by One.

6. Rude people

Actually I am rude in some way too. Maybe bitchy. :P But I am rude to people who are rude. Like:
Who get on the train, bus, lift before letting people alight. Mind your manners and courtesy people!!!! because even you rush in, no one is going to give up seat for you whether you are old or pregnant anyway...
Those who say things bluntly without thinking. Saying things that hurts people and this person doesnt even know! When i hear that i wont care and i definetely shoot back and tell them straight in the face to shut their f#$%ing mouth. But there are some people who just keep quiet even how hurtful those words are to them. Then I will speak up for them. I just cant stand people who comments without thinking. What is your brain for??

7. Stupidity

I can't stand stupidity. 'nuff said.

8. Bad Service

I hate bad services. Nowadays I will scream, complain and demand my $$ back if I get a bad service. I paid good $$ and 10% service charge is already included so i expect good service. And I will do this in front of alot of customers to fan them away.

This is a bonus:
10. Gigi Leung

I just simply cannot stand this woman. Who is totally not talented, cannot act nor sing and tries very hard to look cute.... Please go away forever and never ever come back....

Autumn in Paris

Paris is extremely beautiful.
Reached about 12 noon on Saturday.. Since most of the shops closes on Sunday, first thing I did was go shopping! Went to Louis Vuitton, which is about 20% cheaper than SG. will definetely shop for LV bags in future in Paris.. :)

Took a stroll along Champs-Elysees, which is a stretch from Arc de Triomphe... It is autumn in Paris, so it is all golden brown along champs-elysees.

The weather is much cooler than London and it has lots of sun unlike London..

Everywhere you go it has history. I loved Montmartre. It is highest point in paris. It has great view and fantastic cafes. It is so picturesque.

Paris is easy to get around. i felt more safer in Paris than in London.
Frenchmen are so well-mannered! They are very helpful and charming. Feels good to be a gal in Paris. :)

Sunday I went to Lourve.. I was overwhelmed when I saw the original art works.. Renoir, Ruben and not forgetting Davinci.. Yes i saw the Monalisa.. I still don't understand why it's so famous!

Parisians love to sit by the roadside cafe and drink coffee looking at passerbys.. That is what I like to do :) Now I know why all the shops are closed on Sunday. because they spend whole sunday sitting at the cafe! :P

I enjoyed Paris. The city is so different from other cities I have been to so far..
But I prefer London. For me, Paris is nice city to visit, but not to live in.. No wonder London beat Paris to host the Olympics!

I will upload the pix soon... :)

1 more night to head to Paris

Seems like yesterday when i reached London and wanted to go back home already.. But my project came to an end and in 2 hours time, I will head to London office @ King's Cross for half to day to catch up with other projects..

And tomorrow @ 4am I will head to Waterloo to take the EURO Train to head for Paris. New experience, full of hope and expectations...

I don't want to go back to Spore anymore... Especially after I found a good Indian restaurant behind my hotel!! hell.... I can live here in London. I am so adapted to this life in london, the tube, the people, the pounds... I don't even look like a tourist!

I love Tesco which is like Cold Storage in Spore. They got so much organic food and is cheap comparing to Spore. I pop into Boots everyday which is like Watsons..
I love the cool weather, i love the way people talk (proper english :P), I love the shopping in flee markets, I love the krispy kreme, Harrods, Topshop, H&M, TV programs, Vogue magazines.... man, I dread to leave...

Oh well, there will be another chance.. To venture more places out there... And I will be back definetely.. :)

1 hour to go for my last lunch in Cisco Canteen..
oh btw, downstairs, one of the Cisco team they are having an event. Is so lovely. The entire floor is covered with some foam so looks like snow.. And they decorated with lots of minautre christmas trees and the tables are now transformed to ice cubes.. Is brilliant.. I am going to take a pix and upload so you can see how cool it looks.. Maybe i should suggest this to blue so we can have a christmas party with this kind of theme.. hehe

It is a great day today. great weather.. Start of real autumn.. So the sky is blue and sun is bright. But the wind is definetely much cooler.. i will remember this moment every single day of my life.. :)

One more night to head for Paris!

My 6th Day in London

It is raining today. Typical English weather.. There goes my plan for this evening.. which i was thinking of going Bond street for some shopping before I leave.. damn..

Tomorrow, is the start of real Autumn since the temperature drops to 12c.
The weather was not too bad for past few days. Occasional sun and cool breeze.

Hopefully Paris has good weather. I don't mind cold, as long as it does not rain!

Cisco canteen serves really good food. Different menu everyday and wide selection of choices. The price is half of what you get from outside. And as you know, all drinks and fruits are free in Cisco.. Lucky bastards.. :P

Today theme was Indian Festival.. So I was really looking forward for some Spicy Indian Curry! But what the heck...? It tastes like Spaghetti bolognese sauce.. damn it.. They call it English curry... Well what was I supposed to expect? It's Indian curry cooked by angmoh..! Duh..! hehehe

Well, I cant wait to go back home.. When I get back, I will have chicken rice with loads of chilli.. Just thinking about it already makes me drool..

Oh btw, now I am a proud owner of iPod shuffle. hehe
With months of agonising whether i am getting a iPod Mini or Samusung iRiver, 28D got me a shuffle with a very good price and will have songs stored in it already!! So I am one happy girl! Thanks 28D!!
but, i didn't know apple products dont have radio... oh well, who cares as long as I have my theme songs stored in it!
Question.. Can I still get that white speaker set...?

2 more nights to head for Paris!

In London

Overslept on Saturday and I almost missed my flight..
Thank God, I live 10 minutes away from airport and did a internet check in. I arrived just 40 minutes before the plane took off... heehee
Didn't even hf time to kiss my cats good bye!

Could not sleep through the 13 hour flight.. Watched 5 movies.. But not too bad.. SQ always have new movies!

Took two hours to get out from Heathrow airport.. (Then you realise how efficient Singapore airport is!!)

When I reached the hotel, took a shower and slept.. I didnt suffer jet lag in my previous trip.. But this time round, I am suffering a terrible jet-lag...

Sunday, I went to picadilly circus for breakfast. Walked along Regent Street to Oxford Circus.. I just love this shopping area!
Went to Liverpool in the afternoon to visit Spitafield Market.. And bot a 25 pounds tshirt from this art student.. When I bought it i was thinking is so cheap!! (I was thinking in $ not pounds! which is X3 aaarrrrgh)
Had a good Indian food @ Bricklane.. Then went back to Regent Street, for my favourite Carnaby Market.. :) Too ex to buy anything! But good for eye shopping..

And Yesterday I started working..
Cisco Systems London Office @ Bedfont Lakes is a great place to work.. Have a great view from the canteen.. Last time, the cab driver told me, this area is where the headless horsemen story came about... wonder if it is true? Whether or not, I shall avoid working too late.. in case I bump into this headless horsemen guy.. hmm.. wonder if then Johnny Depp will come and rescue me?! :P
Anyway Cisco is a wonderful company to work for.. If i have a chance I won't mind being employeed full time :P

Training is fun. I got two beautiful girls working together..
One from Ukraine and the other, German. Last time were 4 guys. German, French, Italian and Spanish.. Great that I work with all different European countries.. And they are all nice.
And get this.. Even I am much older than them.. I look much younger!! haha
They commented that Asian girls always look so young. :P Maybe is just me who look younger than my age! WAHAHAHA (comparing with the other 78s in the office.. Saffy! don't say a word!!!)

3 more days to head for Paris.... Can't wait!

9.08.2005

Ready to Set off.. Voulez-vous coucher avec moi ce soir?

Buckingham Palace Apr'05
After 2 weeks of delaying and thinking and agonizing, have finally bought tix to Paris and booked the hotel...

I never thought I will be going London again after the last trip in April.. But what the heck... since the client is paying for it, might well as just go and do my job and have a break in Paris before my return to this hell..

Since I have visited all the major place in my last visit in London, this time round, i will take my time and go to places that I didnt go.. My fren insists I should go Brick Lane Market at Liverpool on sunday since my favourite notting hill Potobello Market closes on sunday.. And this time, I shall definetely try the scone which she swears by it..

Oh and I will definetely go to the Green Park @ Buckingham Palace.. I was there in Spring which was fabulous.. So now is beginning of Autumn, it will be even more gorgeous.. I will take the pix at the same spot :P
And must buy 2 dozens of Krispy Kreame back from Harrods.. The world best doughnuts!

I am taking Euro rail to Paris. It is so f@#$ing Ex.. 49 pounds for single trip. So return is about 100 pounds.. For goodness sake.. But from Spore to go Paris, it is more expensive, so I shall take this opportunity to go visit and be broke for next two months.

I have planned my itinery in Paris with the help of my dear friends. Going for my LV shopping as soon as I check in, then will visit the Arc Triumphe which is near by. Then I will got to Eiffel Tower to see the night view.. And will have nice dinner with a glass of French wine by the seine river..
Next day, it will be a rush, going to Lourve museum for the famous Monalisa and my favourite Monet paintings.. Then rush down to Nottredam and have a cuppa at the alley which Mich could non-stop talking about.. Then head to Eiffel Tower to see the day view. Want to go versailles, but seems like is too far... Then will visit some flee markets for pure eye-shopping (seriously!).. Not forgetting "parisian watching" at the road side cafe with capuccino and crissont.. I think it will complete my trip.. :)

Now I need to finish my course project.. And pack tomorrow..

Then I am all set to adventure by myself. Paris! Here I come!!

Ps. Saffy and 28D, as usual you guys shall recive my mms from Paris. Wahahaha :P
