It was ah-neo's 28th birthday! :D

Another occassion for all our ex-blues to meet up.. It is so cool that all of us are still in contact and still close.. (5 clowns missing from pic - tam, mar, caro and robin, yew)

it was fun! and the movie present we gave to ah neo was Transformers.. and it was gooood! fantastic! wanna watch it again..

Been here exactly 2 years and 3 months now.. and is time to fly..

It was fun.. lots of memories..

Is just seems like yesterday when i moved in!!

When i got all my ex-blue colleagues to come and help me move and they really fit the bill! from unpacking, throwing away the boxes to cleaning up the kitchen! you know who you all are.... :D

during my 27 months stay here, i used the bayshore gym once. Eaten at the cafeteria about 6 times. Had bbq twice. Hosted drunken people couple of times. House parties handful times, dinner party (which i actually cooked for people!) 3 times.

Oh man, I am gonna miss this place!

Now i leave this place to a much bigger 3 bedroom apartment to house more boxes of shoes, too many bags, more clothes, a fatten up cat, and additional i-killed-the-barney couch...

Year end holiday!

It is mid year and me and my friends have already planned our new year holiday...
We have booked and paid the villa a month ago and now we are sourcing for air tickets.

We are heading to Bali on 29th Dec - 3rd Jan '08.

it is a bit kiasu to plan a holiday so ahead but, i think we all deserve to have something to look forward to! :) A new year in Bali!

and now.. i can't barely wait!

hope that we will still be friends till year end... ;P
Probably we will be so overdosed with one another that by the time we come back, we will not see eachother for a month. haha

It is just so scary!

I hate to admit it.. but yes, my life evolves around my work... haiz!

end of the day having someone who loves me besides me, and my cats greeting me when i get home - that makes everything alright..

So it will be another blessed week ahead! Though how tough the work is or how much workload I have, it will be indeed a blessed week again since I have all I need and all I want that makes me happy and makes me going. and that makes a purfect day everyday..

It was still ok when I tried to open the toilet door and cursing out loud who locked the bloody damn door.. after few seconds of cursing, realise i have the key on my other hand..

It was still understandable when i reached office and cursing again why isnt the door opening and realise I didnt scan my access card..

It was still acceptable when i was trying to open the office door using the password and thinking fuck the office door doesnt work again! and a colleague behind you asks "what # is that?" and realise it is my atm password..

But you know you have totally lost it, when you are looking for the seat belt at the cinema and thinking howcome my seat doesnt come with one??

hmmmmm.....
Thank God I only have to work 4 days this week!!

what was i up to?

Was a busy week last two weeks...

First, it was my baby's "supposed surprise" birthday party.. yes was supposed to be a surprise but end up spilling it all :P
I am so bad at keeping surprises! It was kinda cute though, where he went around inviting people "hey you are invited to my surprise bday party at MOS on saturday 11pm onwards"... Not a surprise at all..

Was a good party - well at least for him where most of his friends turned up and he was terribly sloashed which i had to suffer the next day :P

Then we watched the Phantom of the Opera.. It was good but not spectacular.. Maybe i had too much expeactation.. maybe esplanade is too small... sometimes, less expectation is good. but we did enjoy it of course.

Then finally last Monday, we headed to krabi.. weather was so disgusting.. rain.. sun.. drizzle.. sun.. rain.. for whole four days..! was terrible. but we enjoyed the thai dishes and the sinful mango sticky rice.. it was soooo good!

And the lobster!



However we ended up food poisoned on the last day.. damn.. wat a terrible trip back home it was.. could be the stupid eat all you can for 220bhatt buffet.. could be the stupid coffee at this dodgy indian restaurant.. who knows..

but was a real good break... no complaints! :)

one fine day we went to cafe del mar...


it was nice.. with my lovely bellini which costs 18 bucks!


but then... it was so bloody hot.. and the place is so nice.. and we realised..
dammit! we werent dressed as you should be at cafe del mar! bikini! totally forgot..

other than that, cafe del mar is a nice chill out place.. but i would rather go on weekdays when it is less crowded.. and just lay down on the beach bed and watch the clouds go by.... with my bellini of cos!

verdict: burnt out finally..

Really fell sick last Tuesday..
Actually wasnt feeling well during the weekend already... but then Tuesday evening till Sunday... damn.. i was K.O.ed..

Slept 6 days with fever and non stop coughing.. woke up only to go to toilet and visit to A&E on Friday night cuz my bf was so worried that I had dengue...

Monday fever seemed to have gone, and wanted to go office cuz have new colleague so had to give deep dive training. But upon hearing my voice on my way to the office, my manager ordered me to turn the cab around and go home. I was banned from office..

So i went to see my good ol' doctor.. verdict?

burnt out..

I have finally burnt out from work.. Ever since I joined, i worked like a machine. my laptop was on 24 hours. I was, and still am, practically living in front of my laptop... ya.. it is silly.. and work is work.. but i couldnt stop.. serious workaholic you call it...
It has gotten worse upon my promotion last year. Sleeping less, more time on the phone, in front of laptop therefore no time to shop...

Since i was sleeping for past 9 days, i had time to think...
why do i work so hard?

more money.. to have a comfortable life.
so i work hard, and i do have more money but in the end i got burnt out, therefore it is so uncomfortable because i am coughing non stop so I cant sleep!

So whats the point?

I am going to work seriously 9 to 5. I am finally reporting back to work tomorrow. And onwards I am only going to work 9 to 5. My shop closes at 5pm sharp. I am planning to start leaving my laptop in the office from onwards... errrmm.. maybe this i need bit of time.. heh

been out for awhile

Was MIA from the party scene for awhile..
been too busy with work, i seriously had no time for anything..not even for my dear babies - Polly and Crayon..

Last friday was a nice chill out time with lots and lots of mojitos.
Check out the Cuba libre.. it is opp Clinic entrance.. The mojitos are heavenly.. Esp made from my now fav bartender, Kai.. :)

Really felt like i was in Cuba, like in Miami Vice where Gong li takes colin ferral for good mojitos on a speed boat...

been busy...

took up this role, without much thoughts.. didnt expect I would be occupied with work almost whole day including weekends.. Leading the team is fun, but trusting them and overseeing their work on top of my own work doubles up my workload..

Totally gave up going out for drinks on weekdays, and even clubbing on Friday night became a chore, because i am just too tired end of the week.

instead, i found myself enjoying company of friends for lunch and meet up for dinner before heading back home to work, short trip to JB (w/o taking leave!), going gym twice or three times a week instead of heading to a pub (which is more healthier!), and of course being in a r/s changes everything..

now, it seems like work is settling down, where i am getting used to the stress, expectation, tiredness and crappy mood. I love the new office at cityhall.. I love chilling out at cheesecake house at siglap with loads of magazines.. Love the fresh saturday morning breeze without any hangovers..

This weekend was a nice chill out weekend which I didnt have for a long time. I didnt even switch on my laptop didnt even think about work.. it was all about me myself and him.
it was such a bliss to just chill and enjoy eachother's company..

and it's monday again with a splitting headache...... :P

15 years in Singapore!

Arrived here in 1986.. Left Singapore back to Korea in 1990.. Still young that time, I had no idea wat it was like..

Had good 6 years in Korea.. Secondary School.. begining of high school..

Came back to Singapore 1996 Jan 26th.. I still remember that day so clearly.
It was a real cold day, and my best friends and my boyfriend at that time came to the airport to send me off. It was first time I found out for a fact that, guys do cry...

Arrived Singapore with my brother to join my dad.. house wasnt ready so we lived at the meridien hotel for a month..

Finished my fun international high school, went to lasalle where i had the biggest culture shock (I hated Singaporeans then and couldnt understand Singlish), had the most fun times in Lasalle, graduated got a job and till now...

Now 2007... in Singapore for 11years.. plus the 4 years I had when i was young.. total 15 years..

it is blink of an eye.. More than half of my life I have grown up in Singapore. I call Singapore Home, where Korea became a holiday destination. I am so used to the hot weather, I am so scared of cold.

I am a pure authentic Korean for sure.. And i will never give up my korean passport.
And one day of course I would want to go back.. maybe when i retire.... :P

but sometimes i do wonder.. am i more of a korean or more of a Singaporean?

6. Location.. so easy to fly to any countries!
